From last night's Pride Paint Party. HWD did a stunning image on my chest. I asked him how he even came up with this creature and he explained that it was a riff on a Balinese demon.
So this morning I had to image search Balinese demons, and sure enough!
I think my demon looks quite a bit friendlier than this guy, though.
I also tried to body paint on him, with not at all the same amount of success. 😂 First I had the idea of a concentric rainbow heart. Not a bad idea, but messy execution. Then I had the idea of a couple of marks to make it look like it was beating, Keith Haring style. Again, not a bad idea, not great execution. If I had had an actual Keith Haring picture to work from it probably would have been better, but then it would have been copying haha.
I topped it off with some stupid daisies on top, finally said "I'm just making it worse" and stopped...
The moderator (cute androgynous guy, same one who told us we needed to put a pad on the bed at the last party) was nice enough to take some pics of us together - they turned out cute!

I just love the body paint!! I could have so much fun with that idea. HWD's demon is awesome. I love your rainbows and flowers too. My skills would be flowers or stick people. I can draw a horse but not sure if that translates into body paint, LOL.

I scrubbed it off my chest when I got home. HWD was too tired to shower so he just put an old t-shirt on so it wouldn't rub off on the sheets. 😂

Body painting is always fun, regardless of how artistic the end results are.
It was definitely fun. I was kind of surprised that more guests didn't take advantage. The hostess had set up a wide array of paints and brushes out in the garage.
Well...I guess it was pretty hot out in the garage so maybe people didn't want to leave the air conditioning in the house.
