I always thought he was very entertaining but not necessarily everyone's cup of tea.

 I thought most of his roles seem to be caricatures - but he was very funny and quick-witted on talk shows like The Tonight Show.

 I just saw that on my internet news and on face book, another loss to the entertainment world. I did really enjoy his Smoky and the Bandit movies..may he rest in peace..
